Welcome Rev. Dr. John Kloepfer

John Kloepfer grew up Quaker in New Orleans, but in college joined the Ecumenical Institute in Chicago, where he worked with churches of all denominations, helping them work together in community organization.  After seven years on the national faculty of the Ecumenical Institute, where he taught and served as the director of their programs in Denver and Cincinnati, he entered Colgate Rochester Divinity School and was ordained a Presbyterian minister in 1976.  He served as pastor of a church in the Catskills Mountains for eight years before getting his Ph.D. in Spirituality at Duquesne University, where he taught full time for ten years.  He has since served as pastor of churches in Pittsburgh and Upstate New York before serving as Interim Pastor of the Setauket Presbyterian Church and the Community Church of East Williston, both on Long Island.  He married Linda Howard in 2009 and has been very happy ever since.
